The challenge
The Pink Pig is a busy, diversified family business in North Lincolnshire with a working farm, play farm and café, alongside seasonal events and venue hire. Each part of the business has a different audience.
The challenge was to make it clearer what the Pink Pig has to offer and who it's for, while making sure the business stood out in a competitive market with plenty of other children's farms and play attractions competing for families' attention.
The marketing needed to bring the different parts of the business together, attract new visitors, encourage families to return and support ticket sales and events.
At the same time, there was a bigger story to tell, the people behind the business and the realities of life on a working farm.
The aim was to create marketing that felt genuinely Pink Pig, clearly communicated what makes it different and turned attention into visits, bookings and sales.
My role as Marketing Partner
As the Pink Pig's Marketing Partner, I take responsibility for planning and delivering its marketing across the business.
I work closely with the owner and team to understand what's happening, what's coming up and what the business needs to achieve, then turn that into a practical marketing plan.
I manage social media, create photography and video, plan and deliver campaigns, update the website, support PR and communications, work with local creators and use audience and performance data to shape what we do next.
Regular Content Days are also part of the partnership, giving us a bank of original photography and video that reflects what's actually happening at the farm.

Having a Marketing Partner means marketing doesn't have to compete with everything else happening in the business.
There's someone looking at the bigger picture, spotting opportunities and making sure the marketing keeps moving, from the initial idea through to delivery and measuring what happened afterwards. Because I'm closely involved with the business, I can respond to what's happening and turn opportunities into marketing quickly. A new event can become a campaign. A great moment on the farm can become content. Audience behaviour can shape what we promote next.
It's marketing that's connected to the business, rather than a collection of separate jobs for a busy business owner to try and manage.
